Beautiful by Night is a documentary I produced with filmmaker and photographer James Hosking. The project grew out of "Tender(loin) is the Night," an article I published in Out magazine in September 2014. Both the film and the article document the lives of three aging drag performers in San Francisco's gritty Tenderloin neighborhood. "Beautiful By Night" is a meditation on age, gender, and labor.  

The film played to sold-out audiences at the Tenderloin Museum and the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco. It was also chosen as a Vimeo staff pick and featured on the following sites:
